PROP’s next public meeting is Wednesday January 14th from 6 to 8pm. We invite anyone who is interested to attend.
At the meeting we’ll discuss the recent activities of PROP and decide on the next steps for the police reform movement.
Our meetings are also a time to share ideas with and hear thoughts from fellow New Yorkers who care about policing issues and reform in the city.
Location for our January meeting is Elliott Library, Room 507 at The New York Society for Ethical Culture, located at 2 West 64th Street. Details on how to get there.

Current events, including thousands of people in NYC and across the country taking to the streets to protest abusive and racist policing, have brought us to a point where a bullseye target is being painted on the back of ‘Broken Windows’ policing. It’s up to us and the collective police reform movement to maintain and heighten the energy now on display and to keep the spotlight and pressure on political leaders like Mayor de Blasio so that they will make the sweeping changes needed in law enforcement policy and practice.
