Voter Education: Committee members are preparing a voter education guide consisting of 15 questions on policing issues that PROP representatives will submit to office holders and candidates for office in the 2013 city-wide electoral campaigns. Committee members will question political candidates about objectionable police tactics, and will press candidates to support efforts for police reform.

Narratives: Committee members film and transcribe individuals’ stories on police misconduct to distribute them to the press, government officials, and the broader public. Click here to read excerpts of PROP Narratives: stories from victims of police harassment. For a collection of videos collected by members of the Narratives Project, watch our YouTube channel: PROPNY. Committee members also develop alternate ways of compiling and sharing the many stories from individuals harassed or otherwise harmed by NYPD practices.

Families for Fair Policing: Committee members work with concerned mothers and relatives seeking justice for their black and brown sons, brothers, and fathers who have been harassed and worse by the police. Together, they will publicize their anxiety and anger about police abuse and misconduct, thereby introducing a new and powerful voice to PROP’s campaign.
