PROP proudly announces its first annual Citizen of the City Awards Fundraiser, to take place June 21st at Riverside Church.

Join us in celebrating the first anniversary of PROP’s founding in an evening to support our critical work exposing and correcting abusive NYPD practices. We will honor four of the city’s leading social justice activists who have focused their efforts over a period of many years on creating a more safe, livable, and inclusive city for all New Yorkers.

As part of our salute to four leading citizens of our city, we will present Lavender Light Gospel Choir, a unique gospel choir and a New York City treasure. With a special ministry to black and brown lesbians and gays, and through its stirring live performances, Lavender Light seeks to uplift and entertain, and, by all accounts, fully succeeds in achieving its worthy mission. Lavender Light is rich in talent, energy, and diversity and like our four honorees, reflects so much of what is best and what we all love about our city.

The evening will also include other live performances and a silent auction.
